Preparation for Cleaning
At Williams Carpet Care, our number one goal is to clean and rejuvenate your carpets to leave your home feeling fresh. We pride ourselves in our expertise and quality service. There are several things you can do to prepare your home for our carpet cleaning technicians to make the process as quick and as possible.
For Before Carpet Cleaning:
- To prepare carpeted areas for cleaning, please remove breakable items such as lamps, pictures, and vases. Easily moved furniture items should be removed from areas scheduled to be cleaned. Technicians will clean around larger items such as couches, entertainment systems, recliners, beds, etc.
- It is important you vacuum before steam cleaning your carpets. Our hot water extraction system will vacuum away water and smaller particles such as dirt and soil. A regular vacuum picks up larger items like pet hair, wrappers, etc. If you are not able to vacuum, please notify our office (additional charges may incur).
- You know your home better than anyone. If there are stains or specific areas that require extra attention, a “favorite accident area” for pets as an example, please let the office staff or technician know. You can even mark these areas with sticky notes for special attention.
- Carpet cleaning machines can be loud and the hoses and wires can get hot when in use. If you have pets or small children, move them to a secure part of the house where they are safe and less stressed.
For After Carpet Cleaning:
Carpets will be damp after cleaning. Dry times typically fall within 6-24hrs, depending upon exterior conditions. We recommend turning on any ceiling fans in rooms that have been cleaned. Also, please set your thermostat fan into the “ON” position and have the temperature range within 68°F – 80°F.
For Tile Floor Cleaning:
Just like carpeted areas, remove any breakable items from the area being cleaned. Also, remove light furniture to expose the flooring. Remember, after the cleaning is complete, allow the floors to dry for two hours before walking on them. Use caution – they will be slippery while drying.
Forms of Payment:
Williams Carpet Care accepts cash, credit cards, money orders and personal checks (except for move-out appointments). Payment is required before cleaning.
